Go Nuts!

Almost everyone will be scarfing down snacks during football season. Chips and dips, popcorn and just all kinds of tasty munchies. But take a moment and think on a healthy level. Go nuts for a hand full of nuts. A daily handful will keep your heart ticking by 29 percent according to American Journal of Clinical Nutrition . Not just any nuts will do. The Journal found the results in people who ate an once of mixed nuts – almonds, walnuts and cashews. This is due to unsaturated fat content that reduces LDL cholesterol, says Frank Hu, M.D., Ph.D
