(AudaciTech) – Alcoholic poisoning kills 2,200 Americans every year according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention taken from 2010 to 2014.
The report shows middle aged men between 35 and 64 hold the highest risk, while men 45 to 54 years of age making up 34 percent overall deaths.
The death rate of women is 24 percent, substantially lower than the 76 percent of men.
Regionally, Alaska has the highest alcohol poisoning death rate per million people, while Alabama has the least.
Six people die from alcohol poisoning in the United States every day.
