Update: After 12 hours day of an Apple outage affecting four of Apple’s major digital stores, iTunes, App Store, Mac App Store and the iBooks Store, Wednesday 11, 2015, 4 a.m., services have been restored.
Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr said,
“The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple.”
DNS stands for Domain Name System.
Apple Dashboard shows green, all systems are go.
Update: Apple Dashboard indicates which sites are down.
A system status notification page showed the iTunes store, iBooks Store Mac App store and App store services were offline.
Downtime seems to originate around 4a.m. and is still ongoing.
iTunes Developers are having login issues as well.
The errors were in other locations like Italy and Germany.
No response or identification of the issue has been issues from Apple.
