Sugar is evil and addicting. Scientist put two rats in the cage and conducted a test 45 times giving both rats an option of cocaine and sugar. Test results revealed both rats preferred sugar 43 times out of 45; they also gained weight.
The American Heart Association recommends men should limit their sugar intake to 36 grams; 9 teaspoons. Women should limit their sugar intake to 24 grams which equals 6 teaspoons.
We’re not rats, but still it’s important to read labels and watch sugar intake. There’s a reason why the percent amount isn’t posted next to the sugar content; it usually exceeds the daily amount recommended in a daily diet.
Weightloss can happen by cutting back on sugar along with trips to the doctor for illnesses like diabetes.
